Milliken is located 6 miles east of I-25 along HWY 60. It is know as "the hub of northern colorado" and is fast growing. The town offers a variety of amenities, including the Mad Russian Golf Course. Almost all of the business and commercial is located in the downtown area along HWY 60. The Town Hall and Police Department, as well as one of the Front Range Fire District Stations are along the main drag through town.
Milliken is in the Weld county RE-5J School District. District offices are located at the far east end of Milliken. Local schools include Milliken Elementary, Milliken Middle School and Knowledge Quest Academy, which is a K-8 school. High School students are bused to Johnstown to Roosevelt High.
There are 9 parks and 2 lakes in Milliken. A large dog park at the far east edge. The area is services by TRPR, Thompson River Parks & Recreation department. They have built a large facility and fields on the far east end of Milliken, named MAC, Milliken Athletic Center.
Milliken has a true rural setting. With impressive views and a slower lifestyle it is easy to relax and enjoy the area. Any major shopping and entertainment needs are within a 15 minute drive.
